STEWARD IS THE RANK WHERE TRAINING STOPS BEING A CLASS YOU TAKE AND BECOMES SOMETHING YOU HOLD UP.

3 sessions · scenario assessment · legal exam ≥90% · 200 rounds across three drills · one event assisted

“TRAINING IS PART OF WHO I AM, NOT A TASK”

Who this is for
The serious student — the one who has taken everything you offer and is starting to be the person others ask. Steward is the first rank scored on judgment rather than marksmanship, and the first that asks you to give something back to the room.

What changes

You stop being graded only on where the rounds go and start being graded on what you decided.

Before & after

Same person. Three sessions apart.

What’s included

✓ Three sessions: the serious-student tier, run over more than one day on purpose
✓ Scenario-based force-on-target assessment: scored by two instructors, on decisions as well as placement
✓ Legal module exam: ≥90% to pass
✓ Round count: 200 rounds across three graded drills
✓ Event assist: one YRT event worked, as a requirement of the rank — not an optional extra
✓ The Step-Up Kit 6 + pin

NOT INCLUDED

– ammunition
– the event assist is a requirement of the rank, not a paid position
– other fees where applicable

The standard – published in full

Every rank is earned against a published standard, scored by an instructor and signed. This is Rank 6’s, in full.

NRA MQP benchmarkThe NRA course of fire completed; the award itself is applied for separately by the studentDistinguished Expert course of fire — “Working toward the NRA Distinguished Expert qualification.”

Note the NRA language on this rank carefully, and keep it exact: the course of fire is completed, the award is applied for separately. The manual is explicit that YRT never writes “NRA certified” or “NRA program” anywhere on a page.

The award

Awards are presented formally, at a graduation – not handed over in a parking lot. That is what makes them worth earning.

  • Embroidered patch – the Rank 6 insignia
  • Rocker arc – “Steward”
  • Pin
  • Certificate
  • Yellow Rose Tactical Coin
  • Presentation Box

Yellow Rose Tactical awards are Yellow Rose Tactical issued. Nothing in this kit is an NRA award, and no part of it implies an official NRA program. NRA Marksmanship Qualification awards are purchased separately by the student from the NRA Program Materials Center.
