RoseIQ · Carry Readiness Assessment
Confidence
you can measure.
Most people prepare to carry. Far fewer prepare for the decisions that come with it. RoseIQ walks you through 21 real-world scenarios and scores the five things that actually decide a bad night: your judgment, your awareness, your grasp of Texas law, your setup, and your skill.
What gets scored
Mindset & Judgment
The firearm is the last line of defense. Do your decisions reflect that?
Awareness & Avoidance
Do you see trouble forming early enough to leave it behind?
Texas Law & LTC
Signs, stops, permitless carry, and the lines you cannot cross.
Setup & Consistency
Holster, wardrobe, and whether carrying is a habit or a mood.
Skill & Training
Draw, malfunctions, and how recently you have actually shot.
How scoring works
A score is only useful
if it tells you what to fix.
Every answer earns points toward one of five dimensions. You get an overall RoseIQ score out of 100 plus a per-dimension breakdown — so you can see the shape of your readiness, not just a number.
- 01Five tiers, from Unranked to Rose Standard. Rank is earned here, never bought.
- 02Texas-specific. Your law questions come straight from the Penitentiary Code sections that matter at a traffic stop or a posted door.
- 03Answer honestly. The score is for you, not for us — a low dimension is just a place to start.
- 04At the end you get your two biggest gaps mapped to the next concrete step at Yellow Rose Tactical.

RoseIQ is an educational self-assessment, not legal advice and not a certification. Scores reflect the answers you gave, not your ability or your worth. Texas firearm law changes and contains exceptions this short assessment cannot cover — including federal law, protected places, and your own personal history. Before you carry, confirm the current statute and consult a licensed Texas attorney or a certified instructor. Nothing here replaces the live training, range time, and legal instruction that actually build readiness.
