The parents and partners who have the license, have the training, and have never once agreed out loud what happens in this house. This rank is the first one built for two people at the same time — and it is the rank most families say changed the most at home.

Every rank is earned against a published standard, scored by an instructor and signed. This is Rank 4’s, in full.

Any safety violation fails the rank outright, regardless of score – and because two people are on the line, either one can fail it.
The second seat is not a discount gimmick. The manual is blunt about why this rank exists: most people who own a firearm for the family have never once had the plan agreed out loud by the people the plan is for.

Awards are presented formally, at a graduation – not handed over in a parking lot. That is what makes them worth earning.

Yellow Rose Tactical awards are Yellow Rose Tactical issued. Nothing in this kit is an NRA award, and no part of it implies an official NRA program. NRA Marksmanship Qualification awards are purchased separately by the student from the NRA Program Materials Center.

RANK 3 – CARRY READY
Carry Ready certifies the draw and the carry. Family Protector moves the training from you alone to the people in the house — which only works once one of you is already competent on the line.
BYPASS – FOR EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS
Private Skills Check – $149
(90 minutes)
You do not have to start at Rank 1 to enter the Path. The Skills Check places you at the rank you have already earned, so an operator is never sent back to First Steps.
